I have been writing since I was about fifteen years old. Now that I am a senior citizen, I feel it is time to share what I have experienced and felt throughout my life. A lot of these writings were written in my bleakest days, when life did not seem worth living. I still feel that way at times, but not to the degree that used to inspire my darkest thoughts. I have never been a multitalented person in any type of way, but I have always prided myself on being able to put onto paper thoughts and words I was unable to express through voice. In the future, I hope to share with you more of these writings. Hopefully, you will be able to find a degree of certainty and will be able to relate to these thoughts.

Irrevocably tied in with the New Wave Of British Heavy Metal, the Tyne & Wear-based independent embodied the genre – and furthered its cause – more than any other label, and in launching the careers of Raven and Venom it was instrumental in the splintering of what was then just heavy metal into subgenres like speed, thrash and death metal. ‘Neat & Tidy – The Story Of Neat Records’ examines the history of the label, its bands and their releases both through new interviews with many key players in the Neat Records’ story such as label boss David Wood and producer Steve Thompson, and the likes of Raven’s John Gallagher and Jeff ‘Mantas’ Dunn from Venom, and contemporary articles and reviews.

About the Author Th. Fontane wurde am 30.12.1819 in Neuruppin geboren. Er stammte aus einer in Preußen heimisch gewordenen Hugenottenfamilie. Der Vater war Apotheker. Fontane besuchte das Gymnasium Neuruppin (1832) und die Gewerbeschule Berlin (1833). 1836-1840 Apothekerlehre in Berlin. Fontane gab 1849 seinen Apothekerberuf auf; er arbeitete dann mit Unterbrechung bis 1859 als freier Mitarbeiter im Büro eines Ministeriums. Er lebte von 1855-1859 in England als Berichterstatter. Von 1860 bis 1870 arbeitete er als Redakteur der Berliner "Kreuz-Zeitung". 1870-1889 Theaterkritiker bei der "Vossischen Zeitung". 1876 Sekretär der Akademie der Künste Berlin und freier Schriftsteller. 1894 Dr. phil. h.c. Fontane starb am 20.9.1898 in Berlin.

0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. A classic By Dnvpaul Fontane was a wonderful writer. Of course he reflects his period, which was more rigid and disciplined. Along with Thomas Mann, he was one of my favorite German writers. Effi Briest is a novel that provides non-Germans with a glimpse into the ordered life in Germany.

Rossi Fontane's examination of upper class Germany in the nineteenth century ultimately proves to be a scathing indictment of the "me first" mentality, but, and this is important: NOTHING HAPPENS. For about 200 pages Fontane wastes the readers' time by doing what could be done in about 30 pages: He shows how messed up the whole aristocratic scene was. Yeah, so they commit adultery an lie to each others face, you don't have to drag it out for so damn long. All in all, it makes me feel good to NOT be a rich upper class waster. And once the hammer drops (about 35 pages before the book ends) it still doesn't matter that Fontane has built these characters up: They are all the same exact characters in different bodies. I didn't feel anything for Effi or Instetten or anyone else except Roswitha, and her only because her dad chased her aroudn with a red-hot poker when she was a young girl.

This is the light-hearted but true story of how I came to return a raven back to the Tower of London after it had escaped and made it's way to Greenwich Royal Park near my home. In doing so, the required compliment of six ravens was once again reached and (according to myth and legend) the White Tower and the Monarch was again safe. Also read about my reuniting with Munin at her home nearly seven years later. Indeed, indirectly this was the second time I had been destined to save a Monarch.

It not only contains 5 exercises to “claim” the pack leader role and how to teach your pet the main 7 basic commands, but it also shows you how to teach him 17 basic and advanced dog tricks! Really fun! I give it five stars!

Everything in it is based off Pack-Leader psychology and it's an extremely interesting read for anyone who owns dogs or is interested in animal psychology. The techniques described are working really well with my dog as well as the basic and advance dog tricks (Turn Off the Lights is my favorite!). Al Parr learned these techniques from Cesar (aka Dog Whisperer) and he really knows his information well - highly recommended!
