6 of 6 people found the following review helpful. I LOVED, loved this book! By Sunnyles Warrior witch, Olivia Fanning, is an Executioner for paranormal criminals. Raven Hunter is a raven shifter and a detective for the Portland PD. Five years ago Raven and Olivia were lovers and when her father, also a warrior, is killed Olivia is racked with guilt and thinks her whole family blames her. So she takes off, without a word to anyone, to join the Executioners. She's good at her job until she banishes her latest job instead of killing him. She must go home to fix things in her life. I was upset with Olivia in the beginning because she was so combative and self-pitying that she made me mad. She couldn't accept the fact that she couldn't save her father and feels like she needs to be punished and doesn't deserve love. Raven was heartbroken when she left and the five years she's been gone haven't changed his love, even though he tries to act like it. Her whole family warns her about hurting Raven again when they are forced to work together to solve a paranormal crime together. The more they work together the more her barriers are being broken down. Raven is persistent and patient. They are the perfect couple and so belong together. If Olivia can forgive herself she has a chance at a happily ever after. The family characters are well defined and help pull the whole story together. I can't wait for Twyla's story I received a free copy of this story for an honest review.

Olivia is a warrior witch who left everyone she loved including her bonded love Raven a (raven shifter shaman) to become an executioner when her father was killed. She felt her family blamed her but moreover she blamed herself. Having used an unsanctioned totem to banish a powerful vampire named Vincent to who knows where. Well it was only because she was ill equipped to exterminate him at the time and didn't know he was supposed to be her target...so she gets fired from her executioner job. Now she needs her fathers sword "Benedictus" to finish the job, and then maybe she can get her job back. Unfortunately she has to go home and face her mother and sisters powerful witches in ther own right and Raven.The characters are strong and colorful with plenty of action and some hot steamy moments...ending with lead in to the next story and a Happily. I'm sure we will be seeing more of this whole eccentric family! I will definitely be looking forward to the next in this series.

There is Olivia Malone Fanning, a witch warrior, an assassin who kills mages, men and those creatures of darkness and she is considered a " death dealer". Her identity is better known as the "Executioner" and works for the Council of Elders. Then, there is Raven Hunter, Olivia' s first love, a detective for the Portland PD, a shifter, a Shaman, and sexy to boot. It is not enough that Olivia has to deal with losing her job, but she has to deal with her mother and sisters, a wendigo, a psychotic vampire, and her feelings for Raven. This book has everything in it. It is well worth the time to read it.I received this book for an honest review and I can't wait for the next book to come out.

4 of 4 people found the following review helpful. Disappointing By Tim Crothers I was really looking forward to this title and put it on my short list to read as soon as it came out. Unfortunately it appears to have been released prematurely. This book would be more appropriately titled "An Introduction to Using Python for Forensics" and unfortunately falls far short of any Mastery. To be sure, there is a lot of of good gems in here if you aren't familiar with using Python to support digital investigations but the authors' writing style is so terse that you end up with nothing more than a highlight in most cases. Another key drawback is that there are critical topics missing. The most glaring of these is that there is no coverage of using Python to analyze Windows file systems. Inodes for Linux are covered but nothing on NTFS or FAT file systems for instance.There is definitely some useful information in here if you are just learning to leverage Python for forensics examinations so a worthwhile read if you are that. If you have used Python as part of investigations already then the price probably isn't worth the material.

Python learning curve is outstanding fast and most of the readers will be able to address common forensics, including mobile forensics cases by only applying provided scripts and referenced libraries.As for all python books, tutorials and available code, the reader will have to, when feeling confortable with provided code, adapt the code to his own needs. Now that The Sleuthkit provides python modules, and with help of the covered C-types, forensics practitioners will have a real added value toolset to solve ad-hoc challenges.

I mean, if she was so fed up with all that.... why did she even return to them or gave them the opportunity over and over again to make her feel inadecuate....

It seemed like a rough draft By galbsy I related to a lot of the writing, but I'm going to be honest -- I'm not sure how this book got published as it is. It seemed like a rough draft.It was a short book that should have been much longer. It was just bizarre. The blog posts made no sense whatsoever and contributed nothing at all to the book. I couldn't keep the professional notes together because she didn't even use fake names -- just Dr. XXXX and so on. You couldn't keep that straight at all. I could relate to a lot of the reflective pieces of writing, actually, but as I went through the book more, the reflections became less and less. Then suddenly she's recovered. Doesn't say HOW, or her thoughts, or anything. She was good at explaining her disordered mind and then just said she was better. Huh? HOW HOW HOW? She apparently did it without professional help, too, which makes me even more curious how she got better. That's super impressive, so why did she not share any of this experience or insight?If you ask me, this book shouldn't have been published 'as is.' It's missing so much, especially a decent conclusion. Yes, it will tell you what it's like to be a sufferer but it will not give you anything else at all. It really goes nowhere. And that was disappointing. No idea how this book was published...

I couldn't be more amazed at the author's courage to come forward with her experiences. The gruesome topic is discussed both from without and within; the variety of voices is an essential asset. The author's solution to use diverse material and self-commentary distantiates the narrator and the patient from each other: an artistically elegant and an emotionally counterbalancing move.

Despite years of dominating journalism school classrooms across North America, women remain vastly underrepresented at the highest levels of newspaper leadership. Why do so many female journalists leave the industry and so few reach the top?

Interviewing female journalists at daily newspapers across Canada, Vivian Smith – who spent fourteen years at The Globe and Mail as a reporter, editor, and manager – finds that many of the obstacles that women face in the newspaper industry are the same now as they have been historically, made worse by the challenging times in which the industry finds itself. The youngest fear they will have to choose between a career and a family; mid-career women madly juggle the pressures of work and family while worrying that they are not “good mothers”; and the most senior reflect on decades of accomplishments mixed with frustration at newsroom sexism that has held them back.

Listening carefully to the stories these journalists tell, both about themselves and about what they write, Smith reveals in Outsiders Still how overt hostility to women in the newsroom has been replaced by systemic inequality that limits or ends the careers of many female journalists. I'd hoped that attitudes to female journalists would improve. Small steps would better than no steps.Vivian Smith's studies show that few in the male-dominated, double-standard industry have even put on their shoes, much less tied them and started walking. Women are "outsiders still."

Roney MD I had the privilege of being part of the care team that helped Brian through his final days. Jacqueline was beyond remarkable in her love, devotion, and strength in caring for her husband, and has written a compelling book about the end of a modern love story. Her depiction of the highs and lows experienced by all, the support her nurses and chaplains gave, is just how it happened. This book should be read by all who wonder what it may be like to lose a loved one too early, and every young hospice nurse, chaplain, physician, and volunteer. She is truly Joyful on Purpose.

I thank Jacque for this beautiful reminder that in both grief and joy, in the moments between the soul's desperation and somehow creating anew, there are so many shades of courage. This book's authenticity will remind you of what it truly is to live, let go, and as Jacque's mantra goes, "strive for joy in every little thing." "112 Days" is such a meaningful testament to life and I recommend it with all of my now inspired heart. It is simply a beautiful, yet profound, handbook of truth.

The book is great, it teaches you step by step how to make money with Etsy. After reading it I opened up an account in order to start selling online. At first I wasn’t making much money, but after applying several concepts I was able to earn some serious money. One tip that helped me immensely was: think like the customer. I needed to see things in the point of view of the costumer and make sure that I did everything with the customer in mind. get this book if you want to know more about selling with Etsy.

The best way to make money in this small world is to think out of the box, and catch the opportunity when its growing. I enjoy to purchase hand-made creative products directly from the individual themselves. I would recommend this read to anyone interested in owning an etsy business.

Good beginners guide By Amazon Customer This book is simply written, doesn't overwhelm the reader with technical jargon or present the information in large chunks of too detailed information. It tends to hit on the important aspects of building a buisness, giving a introduction and overview. Again, this isn't a technical guide, but focuses on the actual steps you'll need to take to get started and stand out among stiff competition. Enjoyable, to the point and readily understandable. However, if you're looking for info on Etsy guidelines, SEO optimization, increasing sales, etc., this book won't meet your needs. A number of punctuation issues detract from authors credibility, as editing the work gives credence to their professionalism and attention to detail. Overall, a good read, free with kindle unlimited, but glad I didn't pay money for it specifically.
