It does present a challenge because the Bible King James syntax is different than our own English, thereby making many little tricks normally used in solving the puzzle useless. For example a single letter is not nessesarily either I or A. It could be O. There are a surprising lot of these differences. In addition to presenting a challenge,you have the reward of the reading the Bible verse when done.

By hAtORaDe I feel like I've probably been added to some kind of sexual predator watchlist after reading this. But honestly at this point what's one more?Whitney's "Raping the Gods" reads like the drunken ramblings of a borderline homeless drifter who sits next to you at a bar in Key Biscayne, Florida on a Tuesday afternoon. He sits right freaking next to you even though every other seat at the bar is empty. And after bumming one of your last three cigarettes, he starts in on this impossible and unbelievably offensive tale of moral and sexual deviance that you want to hate and run away from screaming like your hair is full of bees, but like the narrator you can't -- or at least I couldn't.Whitney writes with a freedom and energy that is generally enthralling and frequently unnerving. But as master of this bizarre universe, he somehow manages to champion the humanity of its broken inhabitants, each of whom is a willing (if not eager) participant in its ******-up reality. And there's a brilliance in that.The only reason I withheld the the 5th star is that I think his wild Gonzo-esque tales would benefit from the inclusion of a Paul Scanlon type editor who could smooth the rough edges without rounding the corners of Whitney's scintillating tales of depravity, debauchery, and ultimate morality.

I have found one in Brian Whitney. I have had writer's block for years now, and reading this book has inspired me to write again.The story is sometimes sick, always twisted, and very very funny. The prose is to-the-point with absolutely no filler. Although I plan to read more of his works, this is the first book I have read from Brian. I know very little about his life, but I do know that part of this book is autobiographical. He does an amazing job blurring fact and fiction.The characters, including himself, all had some screws loose, it seems. Some more than others.I kept wondering where the in the world this book was headed, and I'm very glad it ended the way it did.MUST READ MORE FROM BRIAN WHITNEY. YOU ALL DO THE SAME. YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED.

By Paul Binford, author of The Shademakers In general, I don’t read poetry on account of the round-about way that most poems have of delivering their message. When I came across Lawrence Klepinger’s Outlander, I did a double-take after opening the book to a random poem and read it, knowing that I had just learned a truth set in concrete. Here is the poem, titled “Bright-Eyed Children”: “Oh, what a wicked lesson’s in store, When bright-eyed children march off to war.” It’s the shortest poem in the book, yet poignant, and left me with an indelible, awful vision of the young lives destroyed by war. Mr. Klepinger has written a collection of over a hundred poems, some of which are humorous, others are questioning, many are dark. All are unique to this writer with an individual, uncompromising voice that is sure to stimulate anybody’s grey matter. The poems are alternated with one-liner proverbs he calls “Musings”, which are compressed tidbits of truth. The whole package is a refreshing look at the world with any and all taboos just tossed out the window.

The poems in Outlander explore the farthest reaches of the human condition, and they do so with wit, insight, compassion and a powerful moral vision that will inspire everyone who reads this book to strive to be a better person. Poems like Tranquility of Life, No Coincidence and For The Making call on us to stand up for ourselves and fight courageously for truth and justice. Only The Pretty teaches us the importance of cultivating compassion towards others. PAL and A Little Boy and his Dog captures the essence of the special bond that often exists between dogs and their owners. And there is so much more. Each poem in this book is accompanied by an aphorism. These aphorisms are a wonderful addition to the book. They are wise and eloquent. They ring in our memory forever. Outlander should be read by poetry lovers everywhere.

Moore’s poetry has been circulating under the radar in Seattle for years. There have been several poems in small but substantial magazines, some broadsides of extraordinary beauty and impact. Seeing him read his poems is a dramatic event, he is charismatic and his readings are stirring, people whoop it up and stamp their feet for a guy who has so much enthusiasm for life with all the pains and joys. These collected poems take the reader on a voyage from the mean streets of growing up, the ups and downs of life looking for love, finding love, only to lose it and finally finding the love of a wonderful woman. It is also the journey of looking for the meaning and values that can sustain a life, a soul in evolution, that supplies the metaphysical fireworks. As his style fills into his true voice we see the maturing ability to look life right in the eye and meet it head on. With echoes of Bukowski, he does not flinch, he takes the reader into a compelling and sticky shadow land, where meaning and identity seem lost. Yet his honesty leads to finding, like Theodore Roethke, an inner light that can dance in the darkness. This is a brilliant and compelling work that needs wider attention.

The chapter titles hint that the earlier works are from a younger man and that the latter are from a more evolved, gentler spirit. I found myself chuckling at the young man episodes and embracing the wisdom that came out of these experiences. These collected poems gave me the feeling of having lived an additional life and learned the lessons from it.

About the Author Steven R. Benson is an Associate Professor of Mathematics at Lesley University in Cambridge, Massachusetts, where he teaches a variety of mathematics content courses for traditional undergraduate students and in-service mathematics teachers. Before joining the Lesley faculty, Dr. Benson was a Research Scientist at Education Development Center, Inc., where he was involved in a wide variety of projects, most of which involved the development of curricula for mathematics students and teachers. He has also facilitated preservice and in-service teacher professional development workshops across the U.S. and internationally (including serving as consultant to the Ministry of Education in Azerbaijan), directed a research project investigating the genesis and development of mathematical talent in Mathematical Olympians, and edited the problem calendar section of the Mathematics Teacher journal published by the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics. Prior to joining the EDC staff in June 2000, he held mathematics faculty positions at St. Olaf College, Santa Clara University, University of New Hampshire, and University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh, and is currently a co-director of the Master of Science for Teachers program at the University of New Hampshire. He received his PhD from the University of Illinois, working under the direction of Leon McCulloh in algebraic number theory.

I've learned a TON from this and gotten so many ideas By Kitty Smith One of my step-sons is getting married and asked me to handle the photography since they're on a crazy small budget. I was happy to agree, but my photography experience has been almost exclusively outdoor wildlife work. Taking photos indoors and of people is totally different and something this special called for additional reading. This book is WONDERFUL! Not only is it giving me a million ideas for capturing those magical moments, it tells you how the lighting was set up to get it, and lighting is def my weakest area. It also gives a lot of ideas on posing and capturing natural moments so you can avoid getting those dreadful shots where you can just tell the bride was gritting her teeth thinking TAKE IT ALREADY! There's a really good section on capturing mood and emotion, as well as dealing with challenging locations, both of which gave me a lot to consider. Then there's chapters on getting these amazing shots of the rings, the shoes, even the rooms, stuff I hadn't even considered. I only wish the guy who shot my wedding had known all those. I'm totally inspired after reading this and while I can only dream about my photos turning out half as beautiful as the many, many gorgeous shots in here, I'm feeling a whole lot more confident and inspired about tackling my upcoming wedding photography job.

I was determined to have the BEST wedding photographer for my daughter's wedding By Amazon Customer When I was beginning in photography, I went to Dallas and attended one of Kevin's wedding photography workshops. I later decided to go into Senior photography, but he helped me realize how very important those Wedding Pictures are to a bride. You cannot do "overs"! This book gives you a wealth of information about lighting and posing as a wedding photographer. I was determined to have the BEST wedding photographer for my daughter's wedding. I was so lucky to book Kevin for that special day. Here is the thing that is so important. My SIL was shy and was concerned about photography for the day. Kevin made him feel so comfortable and had came with his ideas so quickly. My SIL loved him and we LOVE the pictures he captured of the day. Of course we wanted special pictures of our daughter and he delivered with beautiful pictures of her---one of which he included in this book. We are so proud! Kevin is an amazing photographer and friend. This book is a must for any photographer that thinks they want to do weddings!

Hodkinson Hi all I was an engineer at the end of the GPO days and the start of BT Busby days. This book was a real blast from the past and at times I was crying with laughter it's brilliantly written and at time I was sent back to days at Aylesbury Exchange. The smells, the sounds, and even I have tinnitus please if your X GPO BT this is the book for you. Thanks to Stanley George.

Will you learn that formula in this Instaread summary? Yes and no!The Ask Formula is comprised of four types of surveys. What are those? There are 8 Key Takeaways in this Instaread summary which are discussed at greater length after the main statement. Here are two to whet your appetite:>>> #1 - "Businesses should not directly ask customers what they want because customers often to not know. Businesses need to devise ways to ask customers other questions that offer clues as to what they might want.">>> #8 - "The Ask Formula at its core is all about psychology. The surveys themselves are meant to appeal to certain psychological sentiments, and the marketing language devised from the surveys affects customer's psychology and interpretation of a business's product."It is important to note that although a business example is provided in this summary, the surveys are NOT. Highly recommended if your busy. This summary guide did a wonderful job in bringing all the key ideas and main concepts home. I read it very quickly and picked up a ton of helpful concepts. A must read for those in sales or have any dealings with customers. Top rated book and guide. Pick it up!

Mike Halsey's "Beginnng Windows 10" is a wonderful resource for someone who is new to Windows 10 and who wants to get comfortable with the new version. There’s just a profound sense of raw honesty and truth in words that have been unshackled and set free at last.Being a spiritual person myself, I could very much relate to several of the poems, and I found it an enlightening journey to be swept away and immersed in a wide range of feelings along my emotional spectrum. I’ve always been drawn to more of the dark and anguish-laden poems, so I particularly enjoyed those.A wonderful read indeed, and I recommend it to anyone out there who wishes to be carried away by the wondrous power of words and reconnect once again with that most intimate part of yourself – your soul.

The author hits on many different topics, some simple and everyday, such as rainbows, animals, blankets and showers, to more complex and deep such as childhood sorrow or the feelings of being a parent. My favorite has to be Before I was a Mother, probably because it spoke so close to my heart. Coming in right behind that though was definitely Selfish. Just an overall great read.

The author projects specific thoughts and life events and relates or connects them to words or image. Definitely a lot of sadness and pain here. Would have loved to read the reflections tainted positive.I don't usually read poetry but enjoyed trying to figure this one out.

It is written so that you can follow it as if you were in a classroom setting. I was a Microsoft Certified Trainer for years, and this book follows a very similar format that I used to use when I was facilitating. It is a very high level overview of the basics that Storyline can do, but it is more than enough to get you started. I will keep this book in my personal library at least until the next version comes out.Jason Gressman

It's missing module 5, which made my in class session a lot frustrating. Fortunately, a PDF version of Module 5 is found in the reply from Icon Logic. I'll update my review, if I can get the Kindle version working, but as yet, it's still broken for me, personally. Anyone else have any luck?
