By Ash P Reads Gideon, head of security for the Vampire Kings, has a few secrets of his own, one of them being a relationship with.... a human. Highly forbidden and resulting in severe punishment, a crime in the vampire world. After a 7 week long fling, a hasty retreat from the girl followed but a return filled with regret many months later, he finds Jenna involved with and pregnant by another man.Over a year later he is overseeing security for the Breeding Program and comes face to face with a ghost from his past. Jenna is part of the Breeding program and may be a potential mate to one of the 10 elite. For one, he feels that she should not be eligible for the program, considering her circumstances so she must have lied and two, Jenna belongs to him!Xavier behaves like the typical bull-headed male vampire and doesn't allow her to explain her reasons for being there, focusing instead on getting her disqualified from the program. You will want to punch him in the face and tell him to shut his mouth and open his eyes and ears. But once he does stop to listen to what she has to say, regret for his haste and foolishness, for his behavior in the present and the past, takes deep root. Now he will do everything to save her from her life outside the castle walls and keep her with him forever.A complex story of misunderstandings and bad timing. This particular installment deals with physical abuse, a sensitive but a much "needs to be talked about" issue. If you liked her books than this one is for you.This is the second book of the series and I'm sure their will probably be 8 more. Women are sent to a compound and vampires choose a compatible female to mate with. Their is a king and queen and even a prince. The women chosen to mate with the vampires can have children and the women age slower once their given blood and the vampires have a heartbeat and are warm. So far both stories featured week women. I hope the next one has a strong minded one with out the outside drama of crazy boyfriend or lying spouses. Great Series.

I would strongly recommend starting with the and working your way through the series you wont be disappointed. This book overlaps with A Mate for York (Book 1 in this series) only with Gideon's story. You get a little update about York at the end. I loved reading this book!! My only complaint (which is small) is that the author sometimes gets the name wrong of who she is taking about like Lazarus instead of Gideon, but you know what she means. Can't wait to read the next story in the series!!

The characters are set in a contemporary world with superpowers from mind reading to levitation. The author spliced real world and fantasy like any superhero novel, but included hot romance between her main leads to make a reader turn page after page. Emotions can be deadly when they overpower a person's supernatural ability, a fact Nautia Olson knows all to well. Being labeled unstable since the death of her twin brother Nate, Nautia hasn't been able to control her gift of water manipulation. As an aquator her skill is rare but she is a liability to those around her when she lets any emotion in the form of fear to anger to sadness take over her concentration. So when the U.S. Navy comes asking for her help on a top secret mission via the form of Captain Riley Barton, Nautia isn't sure she is up for the important job. Nautia eventually agrees to the mission thanks to her best friend Kray reminding her that this may be the one chance to find out what really happened to her brother and why she has such vivid nightmares of his death. Overall, great book that definitely took me by surprise at the end. The mystery of it all was figuring out what was so special and "wrong" with Nautia. The poor girl is obviously special but its the why that bugs you until all is fully revealed. Nautia and Riley's relationship is cute; Basically Riley has it bad for the girl, while the girl is hung up on I don't want to hurt you with my powers problem. So you really kinda fall for Riley because he is sooo understanding and tries to be mister perfect boyfriend despite his mission and rank. Oh and their scenes were steamy, didn't expect that; Perhaps because I was stuck on the whole scifi-mystery part of the book and the romance side took me by surprise. My only issue was how the dialogue played out, the character perspectives changed chapter by chapter, however sometimes the scene would continue into the next chapter while changing into the alternative perspective, which continually broke up the moment for me. Then there is a bit of literary bread crumbs in the story that hinted at more for maybe a sequel, but if none are in the making than the end may have been to rushed in order to have that HEA conclusion. So if you want a new adult novel about a girl trying to find out why and how her brother died while honing her emotions to control her power over all things water aaannd read about her trying to make a relationship work too with a hot captain who is all about her, than this book will be worth a read.**I received a free copy in return for an honest review**------Read more of my reviews at: http://heyitwasfree.blogspot.com/------

By Dowie *I received a complimentary copy in exchange for an honest review.Nautia is a troubled young girl that is having what appears to be post traumatic stress from the death of her twin Nate. Nautia tries hard to get control of her power, she is an aquator - she can control and create water! How awesome would that power be? Nautia has been in therapy, however this isn't helping her. Soon she is targeted by the Navy for a mission. In walks Riley...Nautia and Riley are instantly drawn to one another. They are each good for the other, however for reasons all their own....they fight it. Nautia has to overcome her issues fast or people will die, and she gets some troubling news once she does.Breaking Through was a great book! I was instantly drawn into the story and I felt like I was actually there! I do feel that the speed of the middle was a little sluggish, I was ready for some more action. Once the action started I felt that the climax and end were a tad rushed. There is a lot of development for the end to go so fast.The story is fantastic! Original and engaging, I am hoping for a part 2! Highly suggested as your next read!~Dowie

It was thrilling and captivating while being romantic and funny at the same time as being suspenseful. The the main character had to come to grips with her gift of power over water and also about who she was. She needed to stop fearing herself and try to remember her past. She had her best friend along to help though reading her mind wasn't necessarily helping. There little group actually consisted of 5 students from the elite school for students with powers. They had been recruited by the Navy for an undercover operation. The five students and captain had to learn to work together with the five regular navy crew members along on the mission. Each had a job and each was highly depending on the others. The steamy romance that occurs during the trading for this mission could put the whole team in danger can they keep it secret? Can they act like nothing is going on if they get attacked and one is captured or will one jeopardize the whole team?Definitely worth the time.I read straight through couldn't put it down

The author deals with subjects such as; writer's block, content generation, and fear of publishing in easy to read advice driven language. I have even noted several of his quotes to add to my motivational notes for my own writing studio. Such as - " All the content you will ever create is a valuable asset." Another power quote I took away is, " The facts become commoditized. Your personal stories can never become commoditized."Now as to why I was very disappointed in this book. I chose to read this title because I was lead to believe that there would be tips to making money while blogging. As I said the start-up and content generation was well covered, but nothing more than a generalized hint or reference to money making was made through-out the book. None of the following questions were addressed.Do you make money by selling and promoting your own products?Do you sell and promote other people's product to generate income?Is selling and promotion the only way to generate income?Do you gain passive income through site clicks?The title was misleading. With the words " How to, and make money doing it" are in the same phrase, I figured there would be more instruction on both components of the title.Well written, but not as informative as it could be.I was provided with a complimentary copy of this book so I could give an honest review.

Helpful for the novice and veteran blogger alike By Kat This book includes an abundance of information that would be very helpful to a person interested in writing blogs to make a profit. The author has revealed many tips and tricks for the beginner, as well as information that could help a veteran blogger. I have used some of the advice to get started with my own blogging experience, while I cannot truthfully say I have started to make money, I have gained more confidence in the possibility of a future claim and since I have only just started out using the helpful tips and tricks contained in this book, I am sure that the suggestions that I have not used yet will be as successful as those I have used thus far. I am thrilled that I have been given a complimentary copy of this book in order to give an honest review.

By Amazon Customer I got this ebook as an exchange for an honest review.I'm so sorry that I only got to do this review now when I've already finished reading it a few months ago, but there seems to be something wrong with my internet and I only just got to resolve it. That said, I was absolutely surprised when I was reading this ebook, I don't usually read this kinds of book or ebook... I thought it was going to be boring and bland, but it wasn't. It was interesting and I could relate to it because I feel that the author really talks to me, especially when he wrote what he was going through. It was refreshing and insightful, and would be a great tool for those who wants to start a blog and make money out of it. I would recommend this to my friends who are bloggers because this book gives you tips on how you can be an effective blogger like the author. I just want to say thank you to the author for a very engaging, wonderful read; it was such a breeze reading it (compared to my struggle of reading other fiction books). Wow, I didn't know that reading non-fiction self-help book would be such breeze! I always thought it a chore and avoided it until now! Definitely 5 stars especially because the author very generously shares his experiences to his readers!

About the Author Doug Robertson has been an elementary school teacher for nine years now. As low man on the totem pole he moved around a lot, but it has given him a chance to experience all kinds of teachers and students. He now resides in southern Oregon with his wife and son, where he teaches fourth grade (again). For fun he trains for triathlons, rides his motorcycle, and makes small children cry at the mall. It heals minor ailments such as cuts and scrapes and it tastes great when grilled and seasoned with ancho chile pepper. THE Teaching Text (You're Welcome) shifts paradigms in the steel industry and will singlehandedly recover the failing crude oil market. This book turned me into a newt. But I got better.
