About the Author Jason S. Price was born and nurtured in Belize. He is a graduate from The Anglican Cathedral College, Belize City, Belize; and The City University of New York Baccalaureate Program, summa cum laude, class valedictorian, a Thomas Smith Fellow, and The City College, CUNY. He holds degrees in English, English Literature, and History. Jason is a poet, fiction writer, blogger, teacher, life-coach, mentor, and friend. Currently, he resides in New York City. Pearls & other poems is a work of poetry that is sincere and seeks to awaken the universal love within us. It celebrates life, culture, and human resilience. Price's style feels reminiscent of a mix between Maya Angelou and Derek Walcott.In "Pearls" he says:I prayed on those beadsfor my mother, a gone goddess who comesto me in Caribbean dreams soft, soft asmoonlight spreading its melodious glowacross the joyful topography of my soul.Other favorite poems for me were My Lovely Heart, To My Muse, The Howl, This is a new America, and One Road.
