And it all happens in pieces of poetry that are less than 200 words.One word: extraordinary. Poetry is not my favorite genre on the market, but this one collection could easily change that. Right off the bat, Zeena Nackerdien gives the reader an achingly on point examination of life through a look at babies. This is such a current discussion of pro-choice or pro-life that it's nearly impossible to read and not feel moved in some way. The writing here cuts deep; it's sharp and edgy and delves into the everyday questions that we all ask. And it brings to light social injustices or the backgrounds of people that we pass by on the street every day without a second glance. It's a hodge podge of topics and yet somehow it's all connected in a beautiful, heart wrenching way. This should be read by the politicians, the protesters, the haters, and the debaters of the world. Mist Over Peace is enlightening and quite easily the best poetry collection of 2015.

The style used in the poems changes from poem to poem but very easy to visualize. The poems hold ones attention and makes one want to read the next. They have been read a few times and each time something new emerges. Exciting!!
