By Cody I play a bit of Minecraft and so does my 10-year old son (not ashame guys! It's an educational tool mind you!) Was curious on how an 80+ page book is suitable for kids. Maybe it was targeting the middle ground but that was quickly put to rest when I saw the first page. Teaching you how to navigate the main menu. Yep this is a book for kids alright and then the author went on to some kiddy talk here and there like the guide really wants to hold your hand and make you feel comfortable. I think it is a great approach to get kids in the mood to play even though my son laughed at some parts. I give an "A" for the effort. Shy of an A+ because it's a guide targeted for kids but a wee bit too long and somehow talks about some advanced topics in a kiddy way.

The book is the basic know how on the game. I don't even know how to play minecraft and reading through, I now have a pretty good grasp on how to play it. The pictures are definitely helpful in case you can't see what the author is referring to. It's like playing a different kind of the sims. The items you will encounter in the game and how to deal with creatures or so are also included in the handbook which is really helpful. There are also reminders on where you shouldn't go so that's neat, but if you're curious.... get the book. There's a whole lot more inside.

It is written specially for children in order to introduce them with all the extraordinary features of Minecraft. Although it's not only the solution for a gamer who likes to play Minecraft but perfect for the beginners. The beginners can learn from the basic to the building useful structure seeing the included pictures easily. All the rules and procedures, pre or pro, of the game are described here step by step so that a new one can learn easily and survive in the Minecraft world. The author didn't forget to include few Minecraft pro-tips essential for every stage of the game. I enjoyed this book.
